Hungama - An average comedy fare
SV Krishna Reddy's Hungama is an average comedy fare. Krishna Reddy focused on comedy in this film and he did it ok. However, the film fails to recreate the magic of any of his previous films. Venu Madhav and Ali did a decent job in the lead roles. The speciality in the films come in the form of songs. Venu Madhav and Ali did good with songs. Fights with Venu Madhav are pictured OK.

Subashchandra Bose - Venkatesh excels..film disappoints
Concept is good and is executed okay. What fails the film is the last half-an-hour of the film. The direction goes very hazzy in the second half especially towards the climax. Songs are pictured in Raghavendra Rao's style. But the songs come at wrong moments and form obstacles to the pace of the film. Subash Chandrabose is a semi-historic film. Character of Venkatesh travels through the time. Venkatesh plays two roles - one as Subash Chandrabose fighting the British, and the other as Ashok in the modern times. Shriya and Genelia are restricted to songs.

Chandramukhi - A different film for Rajani Kanth
Chandramukhi is not a Rajani's film but a different film for Rajani Kanth. P.Vasu, who earlier gave blockbusters with Rajani in the past, came out with a good film this time too. Prabhu and Jyothika buy a mansion. It is rumoured that the mansion is haunted. Rajani Kanth, cousin of Prabhu, comes there to solve this problem. Vidyasagar's music is OK. However, the film sometimes feel of old execution style.

Bunny - VV Vinayak's style of Elevating the hero.
Bunny is Allu Arjun's film after Arya. Naturally the expectations are high on that film. VV Vinayak is the director. This is a VV Vinayak brand film. He is very successful in elevating the hero. The film is tailor made for Allu Arjun. Allu Arjun did a commendable job in that role. He satisfied the levels at which he was being projected. Especially in dances and fights, he is excellent. First half goes in entertaining mode, second half passes into serious mode. Pace slows down a bit in the second half but gains the tempo towards the climax.
-
Chakram - A good concept but poor screenplay
Krishnavamsi came up with a good story for the film Chakram. The film is based on Vasudeka kutumbam concept. Chakram deals with day to day life problems in phylosophical way. Some redundant scenes, preachings by the hero and slow screenplay spoilt the good perspective of the film. Krishnavamsi style takings, excellent songs, top notch performances from Prabhas, Prakashraj form the plus points. However, a heavy and slow second half will leave a disappointing impression.
-
Sada Mee Sevalo - with a dragging second half
Directed by Show and Missamma fame Neelakanta and produced by SP Entertainments, Sada Mee Sevalo raised the expectations. Though the film is made with a good point - Justice Delayed is Justice denied, second half comes out a bit dragging. And also, the director should have proved his point with some strong cases instead of day to day problems. Venu and Shriya did a good job as Tilak and Suryakantam. Neelakanta did a splendid job with the characterizations in the film.

Sankranthi - Remake proves success for Venkatesh again
Sankranthi, remake of Tamil Anandam, boasts of a good starcast - Venkatesh, Srikanth, Sneha, Arti Agarwal, Sharwanand, Siva Balaji, Sangeetha, Sarada and Chandra Mohan. Plus points of the film are good direction, slick screenplay and ultimate performances. Only drawback is the music. Srikanth and Sangeetha stole the show with their amazing performances. Venkatesh is asusual at his best. These kind of roles are a piece of cake for him.

Nuvvostanante Nenodhantana - MS Raju creates the magic again
MS Raju created his magic at the box office yet again with Nuvvostanante Nenodhantana. Prabhudeva directed Sidhartha and Trisha for this film. Srihari played an important role. Though the film has similar lines with Pyar Kiya to dar na kya, Maine Pyar kiya, the director made the film very refreshing. Music is pretty good too. Technical team worked out great especially with the camera. This is a must watch film.

Pandem - Maharshi Films banner is a winner again
Pandem starring Jagapathi Babu and Kalyani is a winner. Maharshi films banner produced this film and moulded this into a comedy and family entertainer in the direction of Sabhapathi. The film is about a careless youth, who turns into a responsible guy and works for the village after falling in love. Screenplay, comedy and dialogues are the heroes of the film. Pandem is a treat to those who appreciate the style of Avunu Validharu Istapaddaru, Kabadi Kabadi league.

Pawan back to form: Balu abcdefg
Pawan Kalyan is back to form at the box office with Balu.. ABCDEFG. First half of the film is entertaining with teasing scenes between Pawan and Shriya, and good song numbers. Second half goes on total action. Though the screenplay is weak at few places in the second half, the film is a overall entertainer and will prove good hit at the box office. Highlight of the film is definitely Pawan Kalyan. Neha Oberoi is Ok and will grow on as the film progresses. Shriya is good.

Mass Dhammuntey Kasuko: Good start for Lawrence
Renowned choreographer Lawrence made debut with this film as director. Nagarjuna, Jyothika and Charmi are in the lead. The film has nothing new to offer in terms of story. But it is the refreshing and entertaining screenplay and shottakings that give the film a lift. Also dances by Nag are amazing. The film runs a bit slow in the second half compared to the tempo generated in the first part.
-
Vijayendra Varma: Overdose of stunts
About an year in production, Vijayendra Varma released with high expectations. The film is based on Hollywood film Bourne Identity. Vijayendra Varma is in amnesia but possess exceptional commando talents. Swarna Subbarao directed this one. First half of the film is OK and as the film progresses towards the climax, director seemed to be lost. Climax is a choas.

Konchem touchlo untey Chepthanau: Vamsi
Here is another trademark film of Vamsi with a blend of comedy and crime. Sivaji and Veda played the lead. Chakri's songs composition is impressive. However his background is not content enough.
-
Suryam: Vishnu's mark
Suryam is the production of Mohan Babu with his son Vishnu in the lead. Vishnu nakes a impressive mark with this film. However a poor characterization makes his hardwork invain. Screenplay of the film is a havoc. Direction is good in patches. Chakri's music and Stunt Sivan's action scenes are impressive.

Sakhiya Natho Raa... Will audience come?
This Tarun and Nauhidh starrer is directed by Jayanth C Paranjee. The film has a good story and entertaining elements. However, the whole effect is lost with unnecessary songs and wandering of the plot in the second half. The comedy plot which involves Tarun hiding his identity to fall in love with Nauhidh resembles the track in Bavagaru Bagunnara. Tarun is asusual. Nauhidh looked good. Ali's comedy is good.

Chati.. The Hero: Raviteja.. The hero
Chanti.. The hero, starring Raviteja and Charmi, is a big disappoinment. Sobhan, the director, fails to make an impact. Except Raviteja, there is nothing else to talk about in this film. You can watch this once, if you are a hard core fan of Raviteja. The entire film revolves around the villain trying to snatch the land of the hero and how hero manages to stop that.

Yuvasena - 4 The People: Good theme but bad narration
Yuvasena is the perfect example of a good story with narration gone wrong. Not so sequential narration and weak screenplay spoilt the flavor. The film has relatively new cast is probably worth a shot. Handling corruption is taken to the hi-tech. 4 Youth form into a group and use the internet media to curb the corruption.

7G Brindavan Colony: A refreshing and touching love story
Produced by A.M.Ratnam for Sri Surya Movies, 7G Brindavan Colony launches Ravikrishna, son of A.M.Ratnam. Sonia Agarwal makes a startling comeback. 7G Brindavan Colony is a good film and a highly recommened watch. A guy changes his attitude for a girl. This sounds like routine story. But rest assured the film is a old wine in the new bottle with a very surprising end.
-
Swarabhishekam: Lost in touch
After a long gap, Kalatapasvi K.Viswanath took to direction in Swarabhishekam. The film deals with classical music backdrop. What is missing in the film is touch of K.Viswanath. Another disappointment in the film is the music. Amuktha Malyada, who made her debut, acted very good. Her classical dance experience came in handy and is a treat to watch.

ShankarDada MBBS
Here comes a complete mass entertainer from Megastar Chiranjeevi. The original Munnabhai has everything for its soul but for ShankarDada Chiranjeevi becomes everything for the film. He is absolutely amazing with his timing. The idioms that he quote in the film - translating Telugu into English - is absolutely hillarious. This is definitely a recommended watch for everyone.
-
Anand: Manchi Coffee Lanti Cinema
Coming from the direction of national award winner Shekar Kammula, Anand sticks to give the audience the experience of a good coffee. A very well made film, Anand proves that it is the quality and not the budget that makes the film a hit. Made with a little budget, self-produced, the film casts Raja and Kamalini Mukharjee. Kamalini is exceptional in the role. This is a highly recommended watch.
-
Sye
Kudos to S.S.Rajamouli for presenting a game, which is not so known in India, in an effective way. Sye film runs with the backdrop of Rubgy. The hero and villain fight over a land in the game of rubgy. Narrated in his own style, Sye provides good entertainment. Songs are well composed by Keeravani. Geneelia adds good amount of beauty to this film.

Gudumba Shankar: Pawan in a full length comedy role
From top to bottom, it is Pawan Kalyan's show. In addition to playing the lead, Pawan also handled conceptulizing the songs, screenplay and composing fights. A talented Pawan Kalyan proves his deftness in the comedy timing in this film. The film is a definitely a good one and provides good amount of entertainment. Meera Jasmine is roped up with Pawan Kalyan for the first time and she looked good in her role.
