Sensex fail to retain gains, ends 106 pts down
The market opened on a firm note this morning as blue chip stocks bounced back after recent losses thanks to a couple of positive triggers. In order to inject some liquidity into the system, the Reserve Bank of India had annoucned a 50 basis point cut in Cash Reserve Ratio yesterday and the market regulator SEBI decided to relax curbs on issuance of Participatory Notes by FIIs in both cash and derivative segments.
